Rhaphidophora tetrasperma Brooch, Botanical Pin

You’re partial to plants, a pushover for foliage…

…enraptured, even, by the curvesome Rhaphidophora tetrasperma!

 I’ve tried to capture one shapely leaf of this plant: her pleasing rondures plus her fresh green color. The leaf was made from repurposed upholstery satin backed with felt, the edges and veins machine stitched with care in shiny rayon threads. The stem was fashioned from soutache braid.

A metal brooch clasp has been sewn onto the back, felt side of the leaf.
