In French folklore, if a ladybird beetle landed on you, whatever ailment you had would fly away as the insect flew away.  And, if you hold a Ladybird  in your hand while making a wish,  the direction towards which it flies away  shows where your luck will come from!

Hand-embroidered on dark gray wool in cotton, satin and metallic threads, plus sequins, mounted on black or brown wool, with tiny seed bead edging. Ready to be stitched on to your jacket, cape, mantle, cloak, sweater or other garment.  This patch will go well with your other patches, badges, pins and brooches to create garments rich in color and texture, that manifest your personality.
