The finest French upholstery fabrics, cut from sample catalogs, re-purposed: sculpted, stitched and sewn to make this scarab beetle, velvety and shiny in just the right places. Hand-worked wire legs wrapped in floral tape, alert glass bead eyes, polyfil inside.
Body measures 3"L x 2"W x 1"H (8 x 5 x 2.5cm). With his legs, he measures 4"x3" and stands 1.5" high (10 x 7 x 4cm).
He arrives with his best-loved leaf, sewn from sumptuous brocade fabric, backed with sturdy upholstery fabric, veins machine embroidered in several colors, wire stem.
Leaf measures 8.5" x 5" and the stem adds another 7" to the length.
