Common Wasp Hand Embroidered Sew-on Patch

No reviews

Joy-suckers. Picnic-crashers. Cake-lickers!

That divine summer day, the family seated around the table in the garden, dessert laid out (was it the Cherry Ganache pie or the Raspberry Charlotte?), chilled Sauterne in the heirloom wine glasses, when suddenly you were assailed by an army of winged yellow-jacketed thugs hell-bent on hijacking your table. Swats were taken, a glass shattered, Dad bellowed, ‘mother-plucking pests! What are they good for?’
You on the other hand, calmly pleaded for mercy for these captivating (but admittedly irritating) creatures.

Because you know

• that wasps, like bees, are crucial to pollination
• that their numbers are dwindling (they have that in common with bees too)
• that solitary wasps contribute to pest control which makes them gardeners’ little helpers
• that their graceful beauty is unparalleled in the insect world
(ok, I made that last one up. Maybe you prefer the rosy roundness of the ladybug, or the flitting and darting of the dragonfly)

Product Description

For you, the one who welcomes wasps: here is a sew-on patch featuring the common wasp (Vespula vulgaris), who you have undoubtedly met at a picnic (see above).
