Soft Sculpture Cicada Brooch Blue and Green

A little fabric cicada to wear.

Now, I know, some like the song of the cicada, and some don't; some think they are pretty, and some...well, find them creepy. But this little gem of a bug doesn't make any noise, and he is quite the beauty, I'm sure you'll agree!

I made him from blue and green upholstery fabric (on top) and linen (on the bottom). You'll love the delicate sheer wings made from curtain remnants. I machine stitched the veins. Little beads for the eyes.
